A HANDFUL of suspected cases of swine flu are under investigation in Wales, the chief medical officer said today.

Dr Tony Jewell revealed that one case had been hospitalised for tests, while others were at home.

He declined to give further details and said numbers could change as people ?come on and off the list? or are tested and shown to be negative.

So far there have been no confirmed cases in Wales of the flu virus blamed for more than 150 deaths in Mexico.

Dr Jewell said it was important to keep the outbreak in perspective in a ?rapidly emerging and changing situation?.
