H1N1 suspect dies in Bandung

A patient suspected of H1N1 infection died on Monday at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung, an official said Tuesday.

The hospital?s director, Cissy Kartasasmita, told kompas.com the patient was declared dead at 7 p.m. for unknown reasons. The Ministry of Health laboratory has yet to confirm if the patient tests positive for the virus, Cissy said.

The patient, identified only as S, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday evening due to lung problems. Doctors provided the patient with a respiratory device.

As of Aug. 9, the virus has infected 711 people across the country, killing five of them.
