Corona dead again in Suriname, death toll rises to 12

In Suriname someone died today from the consequences of the coronavirus. The number of deaths has increased to 12. This is evident from figures from the official Surinam COVID-19 website. According to Surinamese media, the person died this morning and the patient was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Wanica Regional Hospital.

Suriname now has as many deaths as neighboring Guyana, where 12 deaths are also regrettable. However, the total number of people in Suriname that have tested positive for the coronavirus from the beginning of March is almost 500. In Guyana this is 230.

The COVID-19 counter in Suriname is now at 547. Today, 12 people have been tested positive for the virus. 10 people have also been declared cured. People's representatives, the staff of the National Assembly will also be tested.

There are now 543 persons in government quarantine. It is also suspected that many persons have come into contact with politicians who were present during the swearing in and admission of the new DNA members last Monday, June 29, 2020. COVID-19 counter increased by 14

The number of people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus has risen by 14 today. The counter has climbed to 561. This information has just been updated on the COVID-19 website.

The number of people who have recovered from this virus is 267. Seven civilians are nursed in the Intensive Care Unit. Since the outbreak of the virus in the country, 13 people have died. Currently 522 people are in quarantine.
