A 73-year-old man has died in the Nambour Hospital, in south-east Queensland, from swine flu.

He is the second Sunshine Coast resident to die from the disease.

Three weeks ago, a 13-year-old boy also died in hospital after complications from swine flu.

Three other people with the disease are currently in the Nambour Hospital's intensive care unit.

Eighteen Queenslanders have now died from swine flu.
