KHARTOUM, July 16 (Reuters)

Sudan on Thursday reported its first two cases of the H1N1 flu virus, saying two infected Sudanese people came into the country on a flight from Britain.

"They came in on July 13. They are the first cases that we have detected," Sudan's acting undersecretary for health Ismail Bushara told Reuters.

Officials at the Ministry of Health said the patients were recovering.

The World Health Organisation said on Thursday the H1N1 flu pandemic was the fastest-moving pandemic ever.
