Study shows high proportion of severe covid patients suffer heart damage

According to a new study, more than 50 percent of patients who were hospitalized with a severe covid were found to have heart damage even months after discharge from hospital.


A study published in the European Heart Journal looked at 148 patients from six hospitals in London, UK, and found that patients with severe COVID-19 and elevated levels of a protein called troponin were more likely to have heart damage.
