Dengue: a new death in St. Martin

A second death directly related to dengue was recorded in St. Martin and confirmed by InVS. The outbreak, which began earlier this year, however, seems to start slow: 3,095 people have already been infected.

It is true that the weekly number of consultations in general of Saint-Martin is declining for four consecutive weeks. However, these values are above the expected maximum values at this time. And the number of cases and hospital admissions show that the dengue epidemic and remains active in Saint-Martin, from now 47 weeks. In November, 24 ED visits were recorded including 3 hospitalizations. since the beginning of the year, Saint-Martin, 3095 people been contaminated.
