Health Alert: Spike in flu cases in East Texas
By Kari Bankston - email

(KYTX)-The flu is hitting some East Texans hard this summer. Clinics and Doctor's offices in East Texas tell CBS19 they saw a spike in flu cases in May, and several people have tested positive for the virus this week. Link not working??

That link was working 2 hours ago. I saw it. There were several stories in paragraph form on that link. None looked fantastical to me. Hard to know why they pulled that link.

Tyler , TX (KETK) ? This is something we would normally be talking about during the fall and winter, but local doctors say they're seeing cases of the flu lately. They say this virus isn't like the typical flu in winter months, but actually describe it as much worse...
...
However this isn't like your regular sneezing, coughing kind of sickness. Dr. Constante said, "the flu I've been seeing have been influenza B, most of it in the flu season was influenza A."..
