Informe semanal de situaci?n gripe pand?mica A (H1N1)

Como consecuencia de la estrategia acordada por el Pleno del Consejo Interterritorial del Sistema Nacional de Salud, la vigilancia de gripe pand?mica A (H1N1) se realiza a partir de la informaci?n remitida por la Red de M?dicos Centinelas del Sistema de Vigilancia de Gripe en Espa?a. La tasa estimada de gripe cl?nica en atenci?n primaria en la semana del 6 al 12 de diciembre fue de 77,72 casos por 100.000 habitantes. Estos datos permiten destacar que contin?a el descenso observado en las ?ltimas semanas.

Esto permite calcular que en Espa?a se podr?an haber producido en la semana mencionada 34.731 casos de gripe cl?nica. De los casos analizados, el 98,15% ha resultado positivo para el nuevo virus de la gripe A (H1N1), por lo que se estima que el n?mero de casos de nueva gripe pand?mica A (H1N1) que podr?an haber ocurrido esta semana ser?a de unos 34.087.

La pr?ctica totalidad de los casos cursan con un cuadro leve y responden a los tratamientos convencionales.

A fecha 17 de diciembre se han producido 232 fallecimientos relacionados con la gripe A (H1N1).

La tasa de letalidad desde la semana 27 (desde que se informa a partir del sistema de vigilancia por M?dicos Centinela) es de 0,19 fallecidos por cada mil afectados de gripe A (H1N1).

* Desde el 31 de agosto de 2009, fecha del ?ltimo Pleno del Consejo Interterritorial del Sistema Nacional de Salud, y seg?n acuerdo del mismo, la informaci?n sobre los fallecidos por gripe A (H1N1) se comunicar? semanalmente, todos los jueves, en la web del Ministerio de Sanidad dentro del informe de situaci?n general.

Weekly situation report pandemic influenza A (H1N1)

Following the strategy agreed by the plenary of the Inter-Territorial Council of the National Health System, monitoring of pandemic influenza A (H1N1) is made from the information submitted by the Network System Sentinel Physician Influenza Surveillance in Spain. The estimated rate of influenza in primary care clinic during the week of 6 to 12 December was 77.72 cases per 100,000 population. These data allow to highlight the continuing decline observed in recent weeks.

This allowed a calculation that Spain may have arisen in the week above 34,731 cases of clinical influenza. Of the cases examined, the 98.15% has been positive for the new influenza virus A (H1N1), so it is estimated that the number of cases of new pandemic influenza A (H1N1) that could have happened this week would of about 34,087.

Almost all cases present with a mild and respond to conventional treatments.

At December 17 there have been 232 deaths related to influenza A (H1N1).

The fatality rate from week 27 (from reporting from surveillance system Medical Sentinel) is 0.19 deaths per thousand suffering from influenza A (H1N1).

* Since 31 August 2009, date of the last plenary of the Inter-Territorial Council National Health System, and according to the same agreement, information about those killed by influenza A (H1N1) will communicate weekly each Thursday on the Web Ministry of Health within the general status report.

The rate of H1N1 in Andalusia falls to the 99.62 cases per 100,000 population, but above average

The rate of influenza Andalusia in Andalusia was in the last week of analysis, between 6 and Dec. 12, in 99.62 cases per 100,000 population, which confirms the decrease in the number of affected for the third consecutive week.

This decline was recorded cases already argued in the week prior to this, when it reached 168.73 only 100,000 people affected by the 316.59 cases per 100,000 recorded in week 47.

Indeed, at week 46, between 15 and 21 November, was reached in Andalusia rate affected by the virus H1N1 highest on record throughout the analysis period, with 380.55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, so that was estimated in the week when it reached the highest incidence of cases.

It is clear from the data provided in the network for epidemiological surveillance of influenza in Spain, after inquiries by Europa Press, the cases of 99.62 this week 49 of 6 to 12 December, are all above the national average of reported incidence, which has been of 77.72 infections per 100,000 people.

In their comparative communities over Andalucia Extremadura only found with a hit rate of 114.61 per 100,000, Asturias, with 113.86 cases per 100,000, and the Canaries, with 102.98 infections per 100,000 people.

Already at the national level, and their distribution by age groups, the surveillance network has also detected a decrease in the incidence of influenza of 42%, 66%, 45% and 28 per cent for age groups 0-4 years, 5-14 years, 15-64 years and more than 64 years, respectively. This decline is significant in all age groups except those over 64 years.

The highest virus detection rates AnH1N1 between weeks 20 to 49 are recorded in the 5-14 age group (60%), 15-44 (43%) and 45-64 years (35%).
