Un var?n de 32 a?os, residente en el ?rea sanitaria V, que sufr?a una patolog?a severa ha fallecido esta tarde en el Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (HUCA), donde hab?a sido trasladado desde el Hospital de Cabue?es por un agravamiento de su enfermedad, inform? el Principado en una nota de prensa.

Los an?lisis realizados se?alan que el hombre presentaba adem?s una infecci?n por el nuevo virus de la gripe A (H1N1).

La Consejer?a de Salud y Servicios Sanitarios est? la espera de los informes cl?nicos definitivos para evaluar, de acuerdo a los protocolos establecidos por el Ministerio de Sanidad y las Comunidades Aut?nomas, si este fallecimiento debe atribuirse a la gripe. De confirmarse, se tratar?a de la primera defunci?n registrada en la comunidad como consecuencia del virus H1N1.

Seg?n los ?ltimos datos del Gobierno regional, la semana pasada se registraron en Asturias unos 1.903 casos de gripe cl?nica, de los cuales se estima que el 94 por ciento fueron infecciones provocadas por el nuevo virus de la gripe A H1N1.
