Melilla ha registrado ya su primer fallecimiento a causa de la Gripe A. As? lo ha confirmado en la ma?ana de hoy lunes la consejera de Bienestar Social, Mar?a Antonia Garb?n, quien ha explicado que la v?ctima padec?a enfermedades previas que complicaron el proceso gripal.

La muerte, tal y como ha se?alado Garb?n, se produjo ayer domingo en el Hospital Comarcal de la ciudad despu?s de que el paciente, un var?n de mediana edad, presentara complicaciones derivadas de varias patolog?as de base que padec?a antes de contraer el virus.

Aunque no ha querido dar muchos detalles, la consejera de Bienestar Social s? ha asegurado que las enfermedades que ya padec?a el fallecido se encuentra entre las que se ha determinado que puede provocar complicaciones en el proceso gripal.

Menores

Por otra parte, Mar?a Antonia Garb?n ha confirmado el registro de varios contagios de Gripe A entre los menores acogidos en el centro de la Pur?sima, sin embargo ha dejado claro que ninguno de ellos ha revestido complicaciones y que todos han evolucionado favorablemente.

En este sentido, la consejera de Bienestar Social ha recordado a todos los melillenses que padezcan enfermedades cr?nicas o previas que ya pueden acudir a su m?dico de cabecera para solicitar la vacuna contra la Gripe A, mensaje ?ste que tambi?n ha lanzado a las mujeres embarazadas, a quienes ha anunciado que Melilla ya dispone de la vacuna especialmente elaborada para ellas.
