Un hombre de 42 a?os afectado por la gripe AH1N1 falleci? ayer en el Hospital Infanta Cristina de Badajoz, donde ingres? el pasado 6 de noviembre diagnosticado de neumon?a comunitaria, por lo que es la tercera v?ctima mortal que se registra en la regi?n.

Seg?n ha informado hoy la Junta de Extremadura, el hombre ingres? en la planta de Neumolog?a del hospital pacense, diagnosticado de neumon?a comunitaria y con antecedentes de fumador importante, por lo que se procedi? a la realizaci?n de las pruebas de gripe A por laboratorio, con resultado positivo.

La evoluci?n del afectado present? un cuadro de insuficiencia respiratoria severa, por lo que se decidi? su posterior traslado a la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, donde falleci? ayer.

A pesar de este nuevo caso, la Junta de Extremadura ha transmitido un mensaje de "tranquilidad" a todos los ciudadanos y ha recordado que la incidencia de la gripe A en la regi?n es, en estos momentos, "ligeramente menor" a la del conjunto del Estado.

A 42 year old man hit by flu AH1N1 died yesterday at the Hospital Infanta Cristina in Badajoz, where he entered the 6 November diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia, making it the third fatality is recorded in the region.
