Health confirmed a new case of Zika virus in Salamanca
Confirms the presence of 13 cases in Madrid, nine in Catalonia, six in Castile and Leon, two in Arag?n and Asturias, and one in Andalusia, Murcia, Valencia, Navarra, La Rioja and Galicia.

The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality has confirmed two new cases of Zika virus in pregnant women, in the
Community of Madrid and Galicia, who join the three already confirmed (two in Catalonia and one in Madrid) in pregnant women, and raises to 38 the number of people affected by this infection, all imported from any of the affected countries, the latest being diagnosed in Salamanca.
This emerges from the latest update of cases published this March 7 by the Department of Alfonso Alonso, confirming the presence of 13 cases in Madrid, nine in Catalonia, six in Castilla and Leon, two Arag?n and Asturias, and one in Andalusia, Murcia, Valencia, Navarra, La Rioja and Galicia.
Two of the confirmed cases are in ?vila, many in Salamanca, one in Leon and another in Valladolid, according to Europa Press medical sources
All these cases have been confirmed by the National Center for Microbiology Institute of Health Carlos III, and infected having visited any of the countries affected by the virus, so it is imported cases.
Given the epidemic virus Zika in the Region of the Americas, the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, in collaboration with the Carlos III Institute of Health and autonomous regions, it has established a surveillance of imported cases of disease by Zika virus.
