SEOUL: South Korea confirmed another case of Zika virus infection on Monday (Nov 28) bringing the total number of cases to 16 in the country, according to health authorities.
A 46-year-old Korean man living in Vietnam who arrived in Seoul for a vacation was confirmed to have been infected with the mosquito-borne virus, according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC).
Local health officials said the man had received treatment and returned to Vietnam where he has been staying since 2012, reported Yonhap news agency.
South Korea confirmed its first case of Zika virus infection back in March this year.
