Davison County records first flu death of season
By Daily Republic News Today at 2:36 p.m.

Davison County has recorded its first flu death of the year, according to statistics released Friday by the South Dakota Department of Health.

During the week ending Feb. 10, a Davison County resident between the ages of 50 and 64 died as a result of the flu, bringing the season total of flu-related deaths statewide to 19. All of the other deaths have been among people older than 64, according to the DOH.
