South Carolina has begun posting a new surveillance report starting with Week 38. The report shows 4 deaths in Week 38 and 7 total deaths since September 1st. There was also one death prior to September 1st, bringing the total to 8. However, this assumes that all the deaths are from H1N1 because they are not differentiating between that and seasonal flu.

Here is a brief excerpt from Page 6:

A total of 69 influenza hospitalizations were reported by 48 hospitals during the past week. 4 deaths were reported. Since September 1, 2009, 145 hospitalizations and 7 deaths have been reported.
