WHO gave WHO the right to name flu-strains ?

---not exactly work-safe, but it IS the BBC ---

The entire hoopla with the WHO and everyone else changing the name of this novel flu always reminds me of the Red Dwarf episode where the crew is threatened by a monster alien & they have this briefing chaired by Rimmer:

Around the 2:45 mark.

"Um, I think we're all beginning to lose sight of the real issue here, which is "What are we going to call ourselves?" um, and I think it comes down to a choice between

`The League Against Salivating Monsters'

or my own personal preference, which is

`The Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society'.

Um, one drawback with that... the abbreviation is `CLITORIS"

'cause, you know, what we call things is really the most important thing to focus on :D

Re: So what are we calling it now?

Well, they were originally going to call Grampian Television Scottish Highlands and Islands Television, until they realized what it spells. ;)

On a more serious note, I still like my idea of Spring Break Fever. ;P
