May 30 - The Northern Cape Health department has pulled out all the stops, to find the source of a diarrhoea outbreak that has killed five babies. Close to four hundred people have been treated for diarrhoea in Upington.

UPINGTON - The Northern Cape Health Department is determined to find the source of a diarrhoea outbreak that has affected close to four hundred people and killed five babies in Upington.

However authorities have yet to identify the cause of the outbreak.

The Provincial Health Department is baffled by what could be behind the tide of diarrhoea patients flooding hospitals and clinics in Upington for the past month...

DURBAN - A severe outbreak of diarrhoea has claimed the lives of at least 30 children since May.

Hospitals are trying to deal with the deadly rotavirus.

More than 1,000 people have been admitted, with the eThekwini municipality working frantically to get to the root of the infection...
