Small earthquake felt in Haiti, several minor injuries

Haiti: An earthquake of low magnitude was felt in Haiti on Thursday morning, residents said, referring to minor injuries in a school near Port-au-Prince due to the panic that followed.

The tremor was felt around 10H00 local Carrefour, south of the capital Port-au-Prince, told AFP Alex Auriol, director of the College of Saint John of the city, who explained that "four or five" students at his institution had been slightly wounded.

"I was in the classroom with the children when they felt the tremor that shook the building. Students rushed to the exit in the melee and some were wounded," he said.

At least one student suffered a fracture and was transported to a nearby hospital run by Medecins Sans Frontiers (MSF).:tiphat:http://www.lenouvelliste.com/article.php?PubID=10&ArticleID=1083&PubDate=2010-11-11
