Two new coronavirus infections, one death reported

LJUBLJANA - Two new coronavirus infections were confirmed in 304 tests in Slovenia on Saturday. One person diagnosed with Covid-19 died, show the latest official data. Slovenia now has 2,249 confirmed infections and 127 deaths. A total of 24 patients with Covid-19 currently require hospital treatment, three of them in intensive care. The number of active cases is estimated at 167, according to tracking website Covid-19.sledilnik.org.
 
In total 2,665 of SARS-CoV-2 infections have been confirmed in Slovenia, with 410 infections being active yesterday, of which 17 infected persons were in hospital. The death toll climbed to 133, according to the national tracker covid-19.sledilnik.

The government and health authorities expect the situation to worsen in the coming fortnight, as thousands of Slovenians are returning from Croatia, where the number of Covid-19 cases has skyrocketed.

STA, 28 August 2020 - 42 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Slovenia on Thursday when a total of 1,338 tests were performed, the government said as it released the most recent data on Friday. This brought the total number of cases to 2,797, with 428 being active infections, according to the national tracker Covid-19.sledilnik.

The biggest number of new infections, 5, was confirmed in Maribor and 4 in Ljubljana. 22 people were in hospital yesterday, with one requiring intensive care.

Nobody died on Thursday, which leaves the total death toll at 133.

Daily coronavirus count hits five-month high
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia recorded a spike in coronavirus infections with the daily tally hitting 55 on Tuesday, a five month high, as 1,608 tests were performed, the highest daily number so far. One Covid-19 fatality was also reported, raising the death toll to 134. Slovenia has so far confirmed 2,979 coronavirus cases, of which 486 remain active, combined data from the government and the national Covid-19 tracker site show. Of the 26 patients hospitalised four are in intensive care.

Record 108 New Covid Cases Thursday, No Changes to Borders or Rules


STA, 11 September - Slovenia saw 108 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, a record-high daily tally and the first time the total exceeded 100, after conducting 2,758 tests, the highest daily number so far as well, show fresh official data. No new Covid-19-related fatalities were reported.

There are currently 701 active cases in the country, according to national tracker site Covid-19.sledilnik.

A total of 27 persons are in hospital currently, including five in intensive care.

Among the latest cases, there were also six detected in health workers, six in residents of care homes and one in care home staff, show the national tracker's data.
