In order to improve the epidemiological situation in the country, the Government extended the existing measures for 14 days and adopted some new ones.

As of Friday, 13 November, the following applies:
- Gathering of people is temporarily prohibited. Gatherings are allowed for immediate family members or members of the same household (subject to restrictions and prohibitions).
- Movement between municipalities is temporarily limited (some exceptions apply).
- Movement of people between 21:00 and 6:00 is restricted.
- Wearing masks indoors and outdoors is mandatory.

As of Monday, 16 November, the following applies:
- Distance learning will continue.
- Offering and selling goods and services to consumers is prohibited (some exceptions apply).
- Public transport is temporarily suspended (except taxis).

Slovenia & Coronavirus, Sun 22/11: 1,024 New Cases, 29.8% Positivity; Mortality Higher in 2nd Wave
STA, 22 November 2020 - Slovenia recorded 1,024 new coronavirus cases for Saturday as the test positivity rate reached nearly 30%. Another 26 patients with Covid-19 died, bringing the overall death toll to 1,052, data from the government show.

A total of 3,432 tests for the novel coronavirus were performed yesterday, which means the test positivity rate climbed to 29.84%, up form 25.68% the day before.

The number of patients hospitalised with Covid-19 rose by 25 from the day before to 1,244 as the number of those requiring intensive treatment increased by one to 198. 39 patients were discharged home.

Slovenia & Coronavirus, Sun 27/12: Positivity Rate 25%, Mass Vaccinations Start

STA, 27 December 2020 - A total of 614 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Slovenia on Saturday as 25.1% of a total of 2,438 PCR and rapid tests came back positive. The positivity rate remained on a par with Friday. Thirty-three people died, pushing the death toll to 2,565.

The number of hospitalised Covid-19 patients rose by 14 to 1,179. 205 people required intensive care, 4 fewer than on Friday, while 38 patients were discharged from hospital.
