Sixth Swine Flu death in Macedonia

A three-and-a-half-year-old girl from Skopje has died with confirmed symptoms of A/H1N1 flu virus following late Friday?s sudden worsening of her health condition, Clinic of Infectious Diseases informed Saturday.

The girl was admitted to clinic five days ago in significantly difficult condition and was immediately put on respirator. She was treated since 6-months of age and hospitalised in Children?s Clinic several times due to convulsions.

17 new patients have hospitalised in Clinic of Infectious Diseases while 3 patients have been admitted in Infectious Diseases Department in Military Hospital in the past 24 hours.

11 new patients have been hospitalised in the Clinic for Children?s Diseases in the past 24 hours.

17 new patients with A/H1N1 flu symptoms have been hospitalised in Clinic of Infectious Diseases while 5 patients have been admitted in Infectious Diseases Department in Military Hospital in the past 24 hours. They are all in stable health condition.

As Health Ministry reports that 25-year-old patient with bronchopneumonia admitted on Nov. 28, who is still on respirator and 40-year-old female hospitalised on Wednesday, are in difficult health condition. The condition of the female yesterday suddenly aggravated and she was put on assisted ventilation.

Another female patient admitted to hospital on Saturday is also in heavy condition and is put on respirator.

11 new patients have been hospitalised in the Clinic for Children?s Diseases in the past 24 hours.
