CAIRO, April 15 (KUNA) -- Up to six humans were cured of bird flu after a baby girl was discharged from hospital where she was treated from bird flu virus, the health ministry said Saturday.

Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdulrahman Shaheen said in a statement up to 12 humans were infected with bird flu since the disease outbroke in Egypt, six of them were cured and two were under treatment.

Four people were killed of the bird flu virus, said Shaheen.

He aded that the early detection of the bird flu disease would increase treatment chances.

Shaheen said the citizens should cooperate with the government to tackle the disease.
