Influenza indicators for E-week 21 (18 May 2014 - 24 May 2014) are as follows:
The average daily number of patients seeking treatment in the polyclinics for ARI increased from 2,630 (over 4.5 working
days) in E-week 20 to 2,754 (over 5.5 working days) in E-week 21.
The proportion of patients with influenza-like illness (ILI) among the polyclinic attendances for ARI remained low at 1%.
The overall prevalence of Influenza among ILI samples (n=146) in the community was 42.5% in the past 4 weeks. Of all
the influenza virus isolates in May 2014, influenza B, influenza A(H1N1-2009) and influenza A(H3N2) comprised 56.4%,
23.6% and 20.0% respectively.
