The number of patients seeking treatment in polyclinics for Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) was 14,116 in E-week 27 (daily average of 2,567 over 5.5 working days), compared to 13,995 in E-week 26 (daily average of 2,545 over 5.5 working days).

The proportion of cases with Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) among the polyclinic ARI cases was low at 2%.
The overall prevalence of influenza among ILI samples (n=251) in the community was 51% (preliminary) in the past four weeks. Of all the influenza virus isolates collected in June 2011, influenza A (H3N2) constituted 83% whilst influenza A (H1N1-2009) and influenza B constituted 11% and 6% respectively .

14,692 clinic visits for ARI, 544 for acute conjunctivitis, 2397 for acute diarrhoea.

Influenza indicators for E-week 46 (13 - 19 November 2011) are as follows:
The number of patients seeking treatment in polyclinics for Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) were 14,692 (daily average of 2,671 over 5.5 working days) in E-week 46, compared to 12,409 (daily average of 2,758 over 4.5 working days) in E-week 45.

The proportion of cases with Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) among the polyclinic ARI cases was low at 2%.
The overall prevalence of influenza among ILI samples (n=144) in the community was 46% (preliminary) in the past four weeks. Of all the influenza virus isolates collected in October 2011, influenza A (H3N2) constituted 55%, whilst influenza B and influenza A (H1N1-2009) constituted 40% and 4% respectively.

Influenza indicators for E-week 47 (20 - 26 November 2011) are as follows:

The number of patients seeking treatment in polyclinics for Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) were 13,785 (daily average of 2,506 over 5.5 working days) in E-week 47, compared to 14,692 (daily average of 2,671 over 5.5 working days) in E-week 46.
The proportion of cases with Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) among the polyclinic ARI cases was low at 2%.
The overall prevalence of influenza among ILI samples (n=154) in the community was 47% (preliminary) in the past four weeks. Of all the influenza virus isolates collected in November 2011, influenza B constituted 61%, whilst influenza A (H3N2) and influenza A (H1N1-2009) constituted 34% and 5% respectively.
