As of 13 February 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified eight additional cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, all of which are linked to previous cases.​

Links between previous cases found
2. Further epidemiological investigations and contact tracing have uncovered links between previously announced and new cases. This was made possible with the assistance of the Singapore Police Force.
a) Cases 8 and 9, as well as Cases 31, 33 and 38, are linked to The Life Church and Missions Singapore (146B Paya Lebar Road). This is a possible cluster involving five cases (Cases 8, 9, 31, 33 and 38).

b) Nine of the confirmed cases (Cases 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 34 and 40) are linked to the cluster associated with Yong Thai Hang (24 Cavan Road).


c) Three of the confirmed cases (Cases 30, 36 and 39) are linked to the private business meeting held at Grand Hyatt Singapore from 20 to 22 January.


d) Four of the confirmed cases (Cases 42, 47, 52 and 56) are linked to the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.

e) Seven of the confirmed cases (Cases 48, 49, 51, 53, 54, 57 and 58) are linked to the Grace Assembly of God.
Investigations on these clusters are ongoing.
3. Contact tracing is underway for the other seven locally transmitted cases to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to mainland China. Case 44 was a contact of Cases 13 and 26. Case 55 is linked to Case 50.

About the confirmed cases
Case 51

4. Case 51 is a 48 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.

5. He reported onset of symptoms on 4 February and sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 5 February and 10 February. He went to NCID on 11 February, and subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 12 February afternoon.



6. Prior to hospital admission, he went to work at Grace Assembly of God (Tanglin) (355 Tanglin Road) and Grace Assembly of God (Bukit Batok) (1 Bukit Batok West Avenue 4). He stays at Bishan Street 13.

Case 52
7. Case 52 is a 37 year-old male Bangladesh national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.

8. He reported onset of symptoms on 7 February. As he was identified as a close contact of Cases 42 and 47, he was transported by an ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on 11 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 12 February afternoon.

9. Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site, the same location where Cases 42 and 47 had worked. He reported that he had mostly stayed at his rental apartment at Campbell Lane since the onset of symptoms.

Case 53
10. Case 53 is a 54 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.

11. He reported onset of symptoms on 10 February, and went to NCID on 12 February where he was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 12 February afternoon.

12. Prior to hospital admission, he reported that he had mostly stayed at home at Hillview Avenue. He works at the National University of Singapore, but had not interacted with colleagues and students after onset of symptoms.

Cases 54 to 58

13. Cases 54 (54 year-old female Singapore Citizen), 57 (26 year-old male Singapore Citizen) and 58 (55 year-old male Singapore Citizen) are linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God. All three cases did not have recent travel history to China. They were confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning, and are currently warded in separate isolation rooms at NCID.

14. Case 55 is a 30 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is a family member of Case 50.


15. Case 56 is a 30 year-old male Bangladesh national with no recent travel history to China. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.


16. MOH has initiated epidemiological investigations and contact tracing to identify individuals who had close contact with the cases.

Case 50 (Announced on 12 February)


17. Case 50 is a 62 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

18. He reported onset of symptoms on 7 February and had sought treatment at two GP clinics on 7 February, 10 February and 11 February. He was admitted to NCID on 11 February and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 12 February morning.

19. Prior to hospital admission, other than going to work at DBS Asia Central at Marina Bay Financial Centre (12 Marina Boulevard), he had stayed at his home at Mei Hwan Drive, except to seek medical treatment.

Update on condition of confirmed cases
20. To date, a total of 15 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital. Of the 43 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Seven are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Update on suspect cases
21.As of 13 February 2020, 12pm, 711 of the suspect cases have tested negative for COVID-19, and 58 have tested positive. Test results for the remaining 82 cases are pending.


Update on contact tracing for confirmed cases
22. Contact tracing for the confirmed cases is ongoing. Once identified, MOH will closely monitor all close contacts. As a precautionary measure, they will be quarantined for 14 days from their last exposure to the patient. In addition, all other identified contacts who have a low risk of being infected will be under active surveillance, and will be contacted daily to monitor their health status.

23. As of 13 February 2020, 12pm, MOH has identified 1,278 close contacts. Of the 1,161 who are still in Singapore, 1,144 have been contacted and are being quarantined or isolated. Efforts are ongoing to contact the remaining 17 close contacts.


Health advisory

24. Singaporeans are advised to defer all travel to Hubei Province and all non-essential travel to Mainland China.

25. All travellers should monitor their health closely for two weeks upon return to Singapore and seek medical attention promptly if they feel unwell. Travellers should inform their doctor of their travel history. If they have a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath), they should wear a mask and call the clinic ahead of the visit.

26. Travellers and members of the public should adopt the following precautions at all times:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;
  • Observe good personal hygiene;
  • Practise frequent hand washing with soap (e.g. before handling food or eating, after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing);
  • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath;
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately; and
  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.
  • MOH will continue to monitor the situation closely. As medical practitioners are on the lookout for suspect cases, Singapore is likely to see more cases that will need to be investigated.

Five of the new cases are linked to the Grace Assembly of God church, including a 54-year-old man who is a National University of Singapore (NUS) professor, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday (Feb 13).

The professor did not interact with colleagues and students after he fell ill.

SINGAPORE (Feb 13): The Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) today confirmed and verified eight more cases of COVID-19 in the republic, all of which are linked to previous cases.

The new positive cases bring the tally to 58.

In its daily update, MOH said two of the new confirmed cases, both Bangladesh nationals, are linked to the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site while five are linked to the Grace Assembly of God church.

The other one new positive case is a family member of the 50th case who works at DBS Asia Central at Marina Bay Financial Centre.

All the eight new cases have no history of recent travel to China and are now warded in isolation rooms at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID)...

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported nine more confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday (Feb 14), the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a daily update.

Of them, six are linked to a cluster from the Grace Assembly of God church, director of medical services at MOH Kenneth Mak said at a press conference.

Two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospital today (Cases 30 and 45). In all, 17 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

2. As of 14 February 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified nine additional cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. Of these, six are linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God and one is linked to a previous case. Contact tracing of the other two cases is underway to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to China.

Links between previous cases found

5. Case 59 is a 61 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

6. He reported onset of symptoms on 7 February and sought treatment at Farrer Park Hospital’s emergency care clinic on 10 February. He went to the emergency department at Mount Elizabeth Hospital on 12 February and was conveyed by ambulance to NCID on 13 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February afternoon.


7. Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed home at Wilkinson Road except to seek medical treatment. He works at a private hospital in Singapore, and was not at work since the onset of symptoms. He has no known interactions with past cases.


Case 60

8. Case 60 is a 51 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.

9. She reported onset of symptoms on 8 February and sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on the same day. She went to NCID on 12 February and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February afternoon.


10. Prior to hospital admission, she had mostly stayed at her home at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and went to work at Grace Assembly of God (Tanglin).


Case 61
11. Case 61 is a 57 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH). He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.


12. He reported onset of symptoms on 6 February, and sought treatment at a GP clinic on the same day and again on 8 February. He went to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital on 9 February and Pioneer Polyclinic on 11 February and 12 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February afternoon.


13. Prior to hospital admission, he reported that he had mostly stayed at home at Jurong West Street 64, except to go to work for a day at Legacy Office Supplies Pte Ltd (56 Senang Crescent).


Case 62
14. Case 62 is a 44 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.


15. She reported onset of symptoms on 9 February, and sought treatment at a GP clinic the next day. She went to SGH on 12 February and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February afternoon.


16. Prior to hospital admission, she reported that he had mostly stayed at home at Tanjong Pagar Road, except to seek medical treatment.


Cases 63 to 67
17. MOH has initiated epidemiological investigations and contact tracing to identify individuals who had close contact with the following cases who were confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.
  • Case 63: 54 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.
  • Case 64: 50 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China.
  • Case 65: 61 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is a family member of Case 50 and Case 55.

22. He reported onset of symptoms on 30 January and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on the same day, and again on 3 February. He went to NCID on 12 February and was subsequently tested positive for COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning.


23. Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Pulau Bukom and attended mass at the Church of Christ the King (2221 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8). He stays at Mei Hwan Drive.


Case 56 (Announced on 13 February)
24. Case 56 is a 30 year-old male Bangladesh national with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.


25. He had been identified as a close contact of Case 47, and was quarantined. He reported onset of symptoms on 12 February and was brought to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning.


26. Prior to hospital admission, he had been quarantined at a government quarantine facility.


Case 57 (Announced on 13 February)
27. Case 57 is a 26 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.


28. He reported onset of symptoms on 11 February and had gone to NCID on the same day where he was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 13 February morning.

(Bloomberg) -- Singapore said it’s learning more about the nature of the coronavirus over the past week and it’s “clearly emerging” to be different from SARS.

The coronavirus is actually closer to the H1N1 virus because it spreads more easily than severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, Minister Lawrence Wong, who co-chairs a task force coordinating the city-state’s virus response, said in a briefing on Friday. It also has a mortality rate that’s lower than SARS, he said.

Singapore confirmed nine new cases of coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total number to 67. The number of people discharged rose by two to 17.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore announced on Friday an indefinite suspension of services with effect from this weekend. Two of five clusters of confirmed cases identified by Singapore authorities are linked to churches.

Of these, three are linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God church; one is linked to the cluster at Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site and the other case is linked to a previous case.

7. She reported onset of symptoms on 10 February. She sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 13 February, and was subsequently sent to NCID by an ambulance. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.

8. Prior to hospital admission, she had gone to work at PUB and self-isolated at Marisson Hotel Bugis (103 Beach Road). She stays at Potong Pasir Avenue 3.



Case 64 (Announced on 14 February)


9. Case 64 is a 50 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH).


10. He reported onset of symptoms on 3 February and had sought treatment at two GP clinics on 5 February, 7 February, 10 February and 13 February. He was referred to the emergency department at NUH on 13 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.
11. He is a taxi driver and prior to hospital admission, he had been working. He stays at Jurong West Street 81.




12. MOH is working with the Ministry of Transport to reach out to all taxi and private hire car drivers on the steps they should take to protect themselves in the course of their work. For the general public, the risk of infection from transient contact, such as on public transport or in public places, is assessed to be low.

Case 65 (Announced on 14 February)


13. Case 65 is a 61 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is a family member of Case 50.
14. She had been identified as a close contact of Case 50, and was sent to NCID by an ambulance for assessment on 12 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.




15. Prior to hospital admission, she had attended church services at Church of Christ the King (2221 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8). She stays at Mei Hwan Drive.

Case 66 (Announced on 14 February)


16. Case 66 is a 28 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.


17. He reported onset of symptoms on 29 January and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 2 February, 5 February and 12 February. He was referred to NCID on 12 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.


18. Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Grace Assembly of God, and attended church services at God’s Kingdom Bread of Life Church (37 Jalan Permimpin). He stays at Mei Hwan Drive.

Case 67 (Announced on 14 February)


19. Case 67 is a 56 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God, and family member of Case 61.


20. She reported onset of symptoms on 9 February. As she was identified as a close contact of Case 61, she was sent to NCID by an ambulance on 13 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February morning.


21. Prior to hospital admission, she had attended church service at Grace Assembly of God (Bukit Batok), and had accompanied Case 61 to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and NUH. She stays at Jurong West Street 64.


Update on condition of confirmed cases


22. To date, a total of 18 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital. Of the 54 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Six are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Update on suspect cases


23. As of 15 February 2020, 12pm, 812 of the suspect cases have tested negative for COVID-19, and 72 have tested positive. Test results for the remaining 107 cases are pending.

Update on contact tracing for confirmed cases


24. Contact tracing for the confirmed cases is ongoing. Once identified, MOH will closely monitor all close contacts. As a precautionary measure, they will be quarantined for 14 days from their last exposure to the patient. In addition, all other identified contacts who have a low risk of being infected will be under active surveillance, and will be contacted daily to monitor their health status.


25. As of 15 February 2020, 12pm, MOH has identified 2,093 close contacts. Of the 1,959 who are still in Singapore, 1,697 have been contacted and are being quarantined or isolated. Efforts are ongoing to contact the remaining 262 close contacts.

26. Singaporeans are advised to defer all travel to Hubei Province and all non-essential travel to Mainland China.


27. All travellers should monitor their health closely for two weeks upon return to Singapore and seek medical attention promptly if they feel unwell. Travellers should inform their doctor of their travel history. If they have a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath), they should wear a mask and call the clinic ahead of the visit.


28. Travellers and members of the public should adopt the following precautions at all times:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;
  • Observe good personal hygiene;
  • Practise frequent hand washing with soap (e.g. before handling food or eating,
  • after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing);
  • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath;
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately; and
  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.
29. MOH will continue to monitor the situation closely. As medical practitioners are on the lookout for suspect cases, Singapore is likely to see more cases that will need to be investigated.

One more case of COVID-19 infection has been discharged from hospital today (Case 39). In all, 19 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

2. As of 16 February 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified three additional cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. Of these, two are linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God, and the other is linked to a previous case.

Links between previous cases found

3. Further epidemiological investigations and contact tracing have uncovered links between previously announced and new cases. This was made possible with the assistance of the Singapore Police Force.

a) Cases 8 and 9, as well as Cases 31, 33 and 38, are linked to The Life Church and Missions Singapore (146B Paya Lebar Road). This is a possible cluster involving five cases (Cases 8, 9, 31, 33 and 38).
b) Nine of the confirmed cases (Cases 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 34 and 40) are linked to the cluster associated with Yong Thai Hang (24 Cavan Road).
c) Three of the confirmed cases (Cases 30, 36 and 39) are linked to the private business meeting held at Grand Hyatt Singapore from 20 to 22 January.
d) Five of the confirmed cases (Cases 42, 47, 52, 56 and 69) are linked to the Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.
e) Eighteen of the confirmed cases (Cases 48, 49, 51, 53, 54, 57, 58, 60, 61, 62, 63, 66, 67, 68, 70, 71, 73 and 74) are linked to the Grace Assembly of God.

4. Investigations on these clusters are ongoing. In addition to the clusters, our investigations have identified the following links between cases:
  • Case 44 was a contact of Cases 13 and 26;
  • Case 65 is linked to Cases 50 and 55;
  • Case 72 is linked to Case 59; and
  • Case 75 is linked to Case 41.
5. Contact tracing is underway for the other seven locally transmitted cases to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to mainland China.

About the confirmed cases

Case 73

6. Case 73 is a 43 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.

7. He reported onset of symptoms on 9 February and sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 10 February. As he was identified as a close contact of Case 51[SUP][1][/SUP], he was served a home quarantine order on 13 February and conveyed to NCID on 14 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February afternoon.

8. Prior to hospital admission, he had attended church service at Grace Assembly of God (Tanglin) (355 Tanglin Road). He is a regular serviceman in The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) but had not gone to work since onset of symptoms. He stays at Lorong 8 Toa Payoh.

Case 74

9. Case 74 is a 29 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at Alexandra Hospital (AH). He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.

10. He reported onset of symptoms on 12 February. He had sought treatment at the Urgent Care Centre at AH on 12 February, and again on 15 February when he was admitted and immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February afternoon.

11. Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Hi-Yew Technology Pte Ltd (3031A Ubi Road). He stays at Mei Ling Street.

Case 75

12. Case 75 is a 71 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is a family member of Case 41[SUP][2][/SUP] and had been under quarantine since 7 February. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 16 February morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

Case 68 (Announced on 15 February)

13. Case 68 is a 79 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is a family member of Case 66[SUP][3][/SUP].

14. She reported onset of symptoms on 30 January, and went to NCID on 14 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 14 February afternoon.

15. Prior to hospital admission, she had attended church service at Bethany Presbyterian Church (364A Paya Lebar Road). She stays at Mei Hwan Drive.

Case 69 (Announced on 15 February)

16. Case 69 is a 26 year-old Bangladesh national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site.

17. He had been identified as a close contact of Cases 42, 47, 52 and 56, and had been quarantined at a government quarantine facility from 11 February. He reported onset of symptoms that night and was conveyed by ambulance to NCID on 14 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February morning.

Case 70 (Announced on 15 February)

18. Case 70 is a 27 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is a family member of Case 66.

19. She reported onset of symptoms on 3 February and sought treatment at a GP clinic on the same day. She went to NCID on 14 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February morning.

20. Prior to hospital admission, she had attended church services at God’s Kingdom Bread of Life Church (37 Jalan Pemimpin), and had gone to work at HipVan Singapore (19 Kallang Avenue). She stays at Mei Hwan Drive.

Case 71 (Announced on 15 February)

21. Case 71 is a 25 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is a contact of Cases 66 and 70.

22. He reported onset of symptoms on 1 February and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 10 February. He went to Sengkang General Hospital on 14 February and was transferred to NCID on 15 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February morning.

23. Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at a construction site at Fernvale Lane and had attended church services at God’s Kingdom Bread of Life Church. He stays at Fernvale Road.

Case 72 (Announced on 15 February)

24. Case 72 is a 40 year-old male Chinese national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China. He is a non-medical contact of Case 59[SUP][4][/SUP].

25. He reported onset of symptoms on 10 February and sought treatment at a GP clinic on 11 February and 13 February. As he was identified as a close contact of Case 59, he was sent to NCID by an ambulance on 14 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 15 February morning.

26. Prior to hospital admission, he had visited Marina Bay Sands Casino (10 Bayfront Avenue) and gone to work at Aim Heng Car Service Pte Ltd (Woodlands Industrial Park). He stays at a rental apartment at Woodlands Crescent.

Case 73 is a 43-year-old regular in the Singapore Armed Forces.He works at Building 613 of Tengah Air Base, but has not been at work since Feb 6, said the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).

According to the health ministry, he reported the onset of symptoms on Feb 9 and sought treatment at a GP clinic a day later.

He was identified as a close contact of Case 51, who works at Grace Assembly of God branches in Tanglin and Bukit Batok, and was served a home quarantine order on Feb 13.

A day later, he was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID), and tested positive for the coronavirus on Feb 15.
Prior to being admitted, he attended the Tanglin branch of the church. He lives at Lorong 8 Toa Payoh.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

7 All Singaporeans evacuated from Wuhan were tested for COVID-19 as an added precaution. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 16 February afternoon.

Case 77
8 Case 77 is a 35 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is a contact of Case 50. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 17 February morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

SINGAPORE: Five more COVID-19 patients have been discharged after making a full recovery, including a one-year-old baby, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Tuesday (Feb 18).

This means 29 cases have now been discharged from hospital. The one-year-old baby is Singapore's 76th case. He was among the group evacuated from Wuhan on Feb 9.

MOH also announced four new cases on Tuesday, taking the country's total to 81...

5. Case 78 is a 57 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). She is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.
6. She reported onset of symptoms on 9 February and had sought treatment at two general practitioner (GP) clinics on 10 February and 17 February. She was conveyed to NCID on 17 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 17 February afternoon.
7. Prior to hospital admission, she had gone to work at a VWO-run community hospital. She performs an administrative function at the community hospital, and had not interacted with patients since onset of symptoms. She stays at the Dairy Farm area.
Case 79
8. Case 79 is a 35 year-old female Malaysian national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and has no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is a family member of Case 72 [1].
9. She reported onset of symptoms on 12 February. As she had been identified as a close contact of Case 72, she was placed under home quarantine from 15 February. She was conveyed to NCID via an ambulance on 17 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 17 February afternoon.
10. Before she was served a Quarantine Order, she had gone to work at FoodXchange @ Admiralty (8A Admiralty Street). Her job function at FoodXchange does not entail handling of food. She stays at Woodlands Crescent.
Case 80
11. Case 80 is a 38 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 18 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH). She is linked to Case 66 [2]. She works at NUH in an administrative function, and had not interacted with patients since onset of symptoms.
Case 81
12. Case 81 is a 50 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 18 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.
Case 77 (Announced on 17 February)
13. Case 77 is a 35 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is a contact of Case 50 [3].
14. He reported onset of symptoms on 10 February and sought treatment at a GP clinic on the same day, and again on 11 February. He went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital on 12 February and was transferred to NCID on the same day. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 17 February morning.

15. Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home at McNair Road.
Update on condition of confirmed cases
16. To date, a total of 29 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital. Of the 52 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Four are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Update on contact tracing for confirmed cases
17. Contact tracing for the confirmed cases is ongoing. Once identified, MOH will closely monitor all close contacts. As a precautionary measure, they will be quarantined for 14 days from their last exposure to the patient. In addition, all other identified contacts who have a low risk of being infected will be under active surveillance, and will be contacted daily to monitor their health status.
18. As of 18 February 2020, 12pm, MOH has identified 2,486 close contacts who have been quarantined. Of these, 1,160 are currently quarantined, and 1,326 have completed their quarantine.

19. Singaporeans are advised to defer all travel to Hubei Province and all non-essential travel to Mainland China.
20. All travellers should monitor their health closely for two weeks upon return to Singapore and seek medical attention promptly if they feel unwell. Travellers should inform their doctor of their travel history. If they have a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath), they should wear a mask and call the clinic ahead of the visit.
21. Travellers and members of the public should adopt the following precautions at all times:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;
  • Observe good personal hygiene;
  • Practise frequent hand washing with soap (e.g. before handling food or eating, after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing);
  • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath;
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately; and
  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.
22. MOH will continue to monitor the situation closely. As medical practitioners are on the lookout for suspect cases, Singapore is likely to see more cases that will need to be investigated.

1. Five more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospital today (Cases 1, 32, 33, 44 and 55). In all, 34 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.
2. As of 19 February 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed and verified three additional cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore. Of these, one is linked to The Life Church and Missions Singapore and one is linked to Grace Assembly of God. Contact tracing of the remaining case is underway to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to China.
Links between previous cases found
3. Further epidemiological investigations and contact tracing have uncovered links between previously announced and new cases. This was made possible with the assistance of the Singapore Police Force.
a) Four of the locally transmitted confirmed cases (Cases 31, 33, 38 and 83), as well as Cases 8 and 9, are linked to The Life Church and Missions Singapore (146B Paya Lebar Road).
b) Nine of the confirmed cases (Cases 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 34 and 40) are linked to Yong Thai Hang (24 Cavan Road).

About the confirmed cases
Case 82
6. Case 82 is a 57 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
7. She reported onset of symptoms on 9 February and had sought treatment at Jurong Polyclinic on 10 February on 14 February, as well as a general practitioner (GP) clinic on 12 February. She went to the emergency department at NTFGH on 13 February and 15 February, and was admitted as a dengue patient in a general ward on 15 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 18 February afternoon, and she was immediately transferred to an isolation room.
8. As a precautionary measure, the patients who had shared the same room as the case while she was in the general ward have been transferred to single rooms. They have been tested for COVID-19 infection, and the results are pending. So far, none of the contacts have any respiratory symptoms. Contact tracing of NTFGH staff who had been in contact with the case is underway. The room has also been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
9. Prior to hospital admission, she had mostly stayed at her home at Jurong West Street 41, except to seek medical treatment.
Case 83
10. Case 83 is a 54 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China, but who travels frequently to Malaysia for work purposes. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 19 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 84
11. Case 84 is a 35 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 19 February morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. She is linked to Case 66[1].
Case 80 (Announced on 18 February)
12. Case 80 is a 38 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH). She is linked to Case 66.
13. She reported onset of symptoms on 4 February and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 4 February and 10 February. She was referred to NUH for a chest X-ray on 11 February, and went back to NUH again on 17 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 18 February morning.
14. Prior to hospitalisation, she had gone to work at NUH, where she performs an administrative function, and had not interacted with patients since onset of symptoms. She stays at Fernvale Link.
Case 81 (Announced on 18 February)
15. Case 81 is a 50 year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.
16. He reported onset of symptoms on 16 February and had been conveyed by ambulance to NCID following a phone consultation with a GP. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 18 February morning.
17. Prior to hospitalisation, he had mostly remained at his home at Lower Delta Road.
Update on condition of confirmed cases
18. To date, a total of 34 cases have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital. Of the 50 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving. Four are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

A woman who was previously admitted as a dengue patient tested positive for the Covid-19 infection on Tuesday afternoon.

The 57-year-old Singaporean is one of three new cases revealed by the Ministry of Health (MOH) yesterday. The tally of confirmed cases now stands at 84.

MOH said the woman, who is Case 82, had no recent travel history to China and reported symptoms on Feb 9.

She sought treatment at Jurong Polyclinic, a general practitioner and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH) from Feb 10 to 14 before she was admitted to a general ward for dengue at NTFGH on Feb 15.

She was isolated once she was confirmed to be infected by the Covid-19 virus.

The woman lives in Jurong West 41, which is next to two dengue clusters...

12. Prior to hospital admission, she had gone to work at Lonza Biologics (35 Tuas South Avenue 6), and visited Bugis Junction. She stays at the Aljunied Road area.

SINGAPORE: Ten more COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital on Friday (Feb 21), including a DBS employee and several people linked to the Grace Assembly of God church cluster, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a daily update.

Singapore reported one more confirmed case of COVID-19 , bringing the number of cases in the country to 86.

Forty-seven people have now fully recovered from the virus, while 39 remain in hospital, with five in critical condition...

16. All travellers should monitor their health closely for two weeks upon return to Singapore and seek medical attention promptly if they feel unwell. Travellers should inform their doctor of their travel history. If they have a fever or respiratory symptoms (e.g. cough, shortness of breath), they should wear a mask and call the clinic ahead of the visit.

17. Travellers and members of the public should adopt the following precautions at all times:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell or showing symptoms of illness;
  • Observe good personal hygiene;
  • Practise frequent hand washing with soap (e.g. before handling food or eating, after going to toilet, or when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing);
  • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or shortness of breath;
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue paper when coughing or sneezing, and dispose the soiled tissue paper in the rubbish bin immediately; and
  • Seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell.
18. MOH will continue to monitor the situation closely. As medical practitioners are on the lookout for suspect cases, Singapore is likely to see more cases that will need to be investigated.

[1] Case 82 is a 57 year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to China. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 18 February.
