Re: Sierra Leone records 121 Ebola deaths in a single day

Their official count doesn't include the 265 bodies discovered during the 3-day lockdown. Counting those, they now have nearly 1,100 deaths resulting in a CFR of at least 70%.

Comparing the reports from Oct 4 http://health.gov.sl/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Ebola-Situation-Report_Vol-129.pdf and Oct 5 http://health.gov.sl/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Ebola-Situation-Report_Vol-130.pdf Confirmed deaths jumped by 140 (text gives total as 673, but table adds to 678) while deaths in probable cases jumped by 86 and suspected by 19. The result is a gain of 245 deaths - a 41.8% increase in one day. This may reflect the bodies found at the end of the three day lockdown. - Ro
