Shaheen: Avian flu threat real threat to Egypt, and not swine flu

أعلن د.عبد الرحمن شاهين ـ المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الصحة ـ عن أن الخطر الحقيقي الذي يهدد مصر حاليا هو إنفلونزا الطيور وليس إنفلونزا الخنازير A(H1N1)، مؤكداً أن الوزارة تطبق جميع الإجراءات التي من شأنها مقاومة فيروس إنفلونزا الطيور والسيطرة عليه بالرغم من ارتفاع عدد الحالات المصابة به في الأربعة أشهر الماضية، لافتا إلي أن الفيروس متوطن ويجب العمل علي محاصرته.​

Dr. Abdel-Rahman Shahin, spokesman of the Ministry of Health that the real danger which threatens Egypt now is the Avian flu, and not swine flu A (H1N1), stressing that the ministry had applied all actions which would resist the virus and avian influenza control in spite of the high the number of infected cases in the past four months, he said, adding that the virus is endemic and must be well.​

وحول تكرار إصابة الأطفال بشكل لافت في الفتره الأخيرة أكد شاهين في الكلمه التي ألقاها أمام المؤتمر الذي عقدته منظمة الصحة العالمية بالتنسيق مع وزارة الصحة لمناقشة آخر المستجدات الخاصة بانتشار فيروسي إنفلونزا الطيور والخنازير مؤخراً في إقليم شرق المتوسط أن عدد إصابات الأطفال وصل إلي 20 حالة توفي منهم حالتان حتي الآن، مشيراً إلي أن السبب في تكرار إصابة الأطفال هو مخالطتهم بشكل مباشر للطيور الحية المصابة في العديد من الأسر التي تعتمد علي التربية المنزلية للدواجن في مصر والتي تصل إلي 5 ملايين أسرة.​

وعلي صعيد مرض إنفلونزا الخنازير، قال شاهين: ?إن مصر لاتزال خالية من المرض حتي الآن، لافتاً إلي أن احتمالية انتقال المرض إلي مصر كبيرة بالإضافة إلي وجود فرص لتحور فيروس ?H1N1? بحلول فصل الخريف القادم ليكون أكثر شراسة.​

فيما وصف د.حسن البشرا ـ مستشار الأمراض المستجدة بمنظمة الصحة العالمية ـ فيروس A(H1N1) بأنه ماكر، مشيراً إلي أن الفيروس مازال ضعيفاً حتي الآن ولكنه من الممكن أن تحدث به طفرات جينية تجعله يتحور دون سابق إنذار، لافتا إلي أن الفيروس حتي الآن ينتشر بوتيرة بطيئة ولكن هذا الوضع سرعان ما سيتغير، مطالبا جميع الدول بأن تبقي علي درجة كبيرة من اليقظة وعدم التراخي في مراقبة الوضع الصحي بها مشيراً إلي أن عدد الحالات المصابة وعدد الدول المصابة في ازدياد مطرد وهو ما يدعو إلي القلق الدولي ويتطلب الاستجابة التضامنية بين جميع دول العالم في صد الوباء.​

وأوضح أن عدد الحالات المصابة في إقليم شرق المتوسط وصل إلي 23 حالة، 18 منها في الكويت وحالة في الإمارات وحالة في البحرين وآخرها ثلاث حالات في لبنان وجميعهم في حالة صحية جيدة ولم تحدث حالة وفاة حتي الآن.​

أما عن دور المنظمة في إقليم شرق المتوسط فأكد ?بشرا? أنها قامت بتدريب كوادر من كل البلاد للتعامل مع حالات الاشتباه والحالات الإيجابية بالإضافة إلي تقديم الدعم الفني لوزارت الصحة في المنطقة فضلا عن توزيع عقار التاميفلو علي 72 دولة من الأكثر فقرا في العالم إلي جانب عمل احتياطي استراتيجي من العقار لاستخدامه في البلاد التي يحدث فيها الوباء.​

مشيراً إلي أن المنظمة في المقابل تشجع جميع دول العالم علي تصنيع اللقاح محلياً وتساعدها علي نقل التكنولوجيا لتأمين أكبر عدد ممكن من الأمصال المضادة في أقرب وقت ممكن، مؤكداً أنه سيتم الاتفاق علي نسبة إنتاج محددة للقاح بين المنظمة وشركات الدواء في دول العالم المتقدم لتقديمها إلي دول العالم الثالث، بالإضافة إلي أنه ستكون هناك كمية ستمنح إلي المنظمة لتوزيعها بمعرفتها علي الدول الأكثر فقراً في العالم.​
