Abstract

INTRODUCTION: The purpose of this study is to describe the epidemiological, clinical, paraclinical features, as well as the evolution in post partum or pregnant women with severe forms of influenza A (H1N1) 2009. METHODS: This is an observational prospective study monocentric, conducted with our service of mother and child resuscitation at the centre hospitalier universitaire Hassan II FES, over a period of 3 months, from November 2009 to January 2010. RESULTS: The average age was 28 years, in 85% of cases of pregnancy were in the third quarter, ILI was constant, the initial SpO2 was an average of 86%. Chest x-ray, a bilateral alveolar syndrome was always present. Virus infection was confirmed in all cases by the polymerase chain reaction. In 3 patients the PaO2/FiO2 was less than 300. Oseltamivir was the antiviral used in all parturients. Acute respiratory distress syndrome has been developed in 28% of the giving birth, they were broken down artificially with 14 /-1 cmH2O positive expiratory pressure levels. The evolution was favourable in 71% of cases, however
