The SEREMI Health Region of Coquimbo, Osvaldo Iribarren, confirmed the second death from the virus H1N1 in the region last week after a woman died because of the poor.
This is a patient identified as Guillermo Brice?o Flores, 50, who was admitted to the ICU of Hospital San Pablo de Coquimbo since 27 August and died of severe pneumonia and multiple organ failure.
'A patient with an evolution of an extremely aggressive flu that developed respiratory failure and organ failure that eventually became the patient's death, "said Iribarren.
The SEREMI of Health also reported that a 35 year old woman hospitalized in serious condition at the Hospital San Juan de Dios de La Serena is also infected with the virus, as confirmed by the ISP.
