Nstitut "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut" announced today that two cases of the Western Nile virus have been confirmed.

They have suffered from the territory of Belgrade and have more than 60 years.

Sick people are classified as at increased risk, and cases are registered in accordance with the National Recommendations for the control of fever of the Western Nile in the human population in the 2017 season.

In order to protect against this disease, it is recommended to use mosquito nets, avoiding areas with a large number of insects, such as forests and swamps, as well as staying in air-conditioned areas, because the number of insects is significantly reduced in such conditions.
