Bird flu detected in a dead swan in the DTD canal in Novi Sad

In the previous days, the presence of bird flu of the H5N1 subtype was confirmed in a dead individual swan perch on the DTD channel near the Port of Novi Sad.
According to the Society for the Protection and Study of Birds of Serbia, the confirmation came from the National Laboratory for Avian Influenza - Veterinary Specialist Institute "Kraljevo".
Today, the body of a young swan was found along the bank of the Danube near Liman 1.
According to the Society, the Scientific Institute for Veterinary Medicine "Novi Sad" was immediately informed about this case.
