In Vojvodina found six swans infected with H5N8. 15 individuals died. Enhanced surveillance of domestic poultry

Swans found dead at the site Tikvara - ?lajz in Special Nature Reserve "Kovilj-Petrovaradin rit" died because of bird flu. It was founded at the Institute of Veterinary Medicine in Novi Sad and the National Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza in Kraljevo. In the Veterinary Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture stated that it was established that it was a bird flu in wild birds caused by strains of the virus H5N8.

- Veterinary teams are on the field and perform medical surveillance of livestock throughout the region, as well as education of the owner - listed in the Veterinary Directorate. The Department stated that in the past 10 days and 15 individuals died say that the kit should not be disturbed, because it prevents the possibility that domestic cattle mixed with wild birds.
