Al-Akhbar (Dakar) - Senegalese Minister of Interior Ali Ngwi Anjay was infected with the emerging coronavirus, and after that he decided to stay in isolation for 14 days, and one of his office members was also infected with the virus.

Today in Senegal, 74 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded, bringing the total number of people infected to 5,247, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

Recovery cases from the virus increased to 3525 after recording 101 new ones today, while 6 deaths were announced, raising the total deaths to 70.

Today, the African continent has crossed the threshold of a quarter of a million cases of coronavirus, with a total of 25,1886 confirmed cases, including 6,769 deaths.

According to figures provided by the African Center for Disease Prevention and Control, recoveries from Corona in Africa reached 114,308.
