Quebec says second wave of H1N1 virus has claimed life of 87-year-old woman

QUEBEC ? An elderly Quebec woman has become the first person in the province to die in what health officials are calling the second wave of swine flu.
Dr. Alain Poirier, the province's director of public health, says the 87-year-old woman lived in a long-term care facility south of Quebec City.
The announcement came as Health Minister Yves Bolduc said the province's swine-flu vaccination program will begin next Monday.
Bolduc says it's up to individuals to decide if they want to be inoculated.
Quebec has already distributed the first shipment of more than 400,000 doses of the vaccine in various regions.
Quebec has ordered 11.5 million doses in all.
The province is spending a total of $115 million, most of it on administration of the vaccination program.
