Lake County on Tuesday has reported its second death because of H1N1 complications.

The victim was a 41-year-old female resident of Gurnee who had significant medical conditions, according to a Lake County Health Department news release. She died on Oct. 23.

This makes 40 hospitalizations and two deaths associated with H1N1 in Lake County and a total of 542 hospitalizations and 22 deaths in Illinois as of April 2009, the release said.

Lake County received its first shipment of vaccines on Monday and will begin vaccinations for high priority groups on Thursday, the release stated. Schedules and updates on vaccine availability can be found at: www.lakecountyil.gov/Health/H1N1.htm
