Scotland could be on the brink of its first human-to-human transmission of swine flu.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon revealed that a new suspected case of the virus involves a patient who came into contact with Polmont couple Ian and Dawn Askham, the UK?s first cases of swine flu.

The individual had previously tested negative; however, the person continued to show symptoms and a further test registered positive for influenza A.

so its possible the ones they said were negative, could be out there with the general public,spreading the virus.

Yes. Good observation Vinny. This relates to all of us. It would be good to know when this patient had contact with this Polmont couple, when the first test came back negative and when this person first began exhibiting flu symptoms.
