Coronavirus in Scotland LIVE as six people die and 322 confirmed cases


Nicola Sturgeon confirmed the number of positive cases has increased.
A total of 322 people in Scotland have tested positive for coroanvirus in Scotland - with six deaths.

The new figure is an overnight increase of 56 - the highest since the pandemic began in Scotland.

It is not know where the patients are from who have died.

The second patient is from the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board and had underlying health conditions. Meanwhile the first death was from the Lothian area.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed schools will close from Friday with no confirmed time frame as to when they will reopen.
