Child dies after catching swine flu

(UKPA)

A child has died after catching swine flu, health officials have said.

The youngster, whose details have not yet been released, also had another health condition and was being treated in the Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area.

The death brings the total of swine flu-related deaths to 56 in Scotland and comes as new figures showed a drop in the estimated number of people catching the H1N1 virus.
