Overview of the Health Status of the Cases:

2 stable cases

Summary of the cases:

a) In Riyadh:


A 45-year-old female. She was admitted to a government hospital on May 14th, 2014 suffering from fever and diarrhea. She was tested for MERS on the same day. Her condition is stable. She has been in contact with a confirmed case.

b) In Jeddah


A 37-year-old male. He developed respiratory symptoms on May 9th, 2014 and was admitted to a government hospital in Jeddah. His condition was stable and was discharged against medical advice on May 17th, 2014. He is currently stable and isolated at home. He has been in contact with a confirmed case.


Deaths from previously reported cases:


A 59-year-old male was admitted to a government hospital in Taif. His case was previously reported on May 8th, 2014. He passed away on May 18th, 2014. May Allah have mercy upon him.

Recovered and Discharged Cases that Previously Tested Positive and are Now Negative:


A 77-year-old male was discharged from a government hospital in Riyadh on May 17th, 2014. His latest tests for MERS-Corona virus were negative.
