Princes and former ministers detained in corruption probe

Eleven princes, four sitting ministers and ?tens? of former ministers have been arrested on orders from the new anti-corruption committee headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday evening according to sources.
The committee announced that it is reopening the file of the 2009 Jeddah floods and investigating the Corona virus issue also known as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus.

It has been apparent for years that the many cases of coronavirus MERS have not been reported. We have carried the following disclaimer on our case list:

"Editor note: Given the age distribution in Saudi Arabia, the extremely low numbers of coronavirus MERS announced cases in children 18 and younger seems highly improbable."


In addition, the government has experienced repeat large hospital clusters while South Korea was able to stop their one outbreak within weeks. I am not sure why this phenomena occurs in Saudi Arabia.
