REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 141 new COVID-19 cases and 180 recoveries on Wednesday.

There are 1,786 cases considered active, the lowest provincial total since March 25.

A total of 134 people are in hospital related to COVID-19, including 28 in intensive care.

The seven-day average for daily new COVID-19 cases is 180, or 14.7 new cases per 100,000.

New cases are located in the Far North West (five) Far North East (one) North West (19), North Central (13), North East (one), Saskatoon (38), Central West (four) Central East (15) Regina (18), South West (three) South Central (seven) and South East (nine) zones. Eight new cases are pending residence information.

The Government of Saskatchewan released a full schedule for second doses of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility through the end of July.

REGINA -- The Saskatchewan government reported 146 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, along with 147 recoveries and no new deaths.

The new cases are in the Far Northwest (two); Far Northeast (two); Northwest (10); North Central (11); Northeast (one); Saskatoon (52); Central East (18); Regina (26); Southwest (two); South Central (eight); and South East (12) zones. There is one new case pending residence information.

There are 319 active cases in Regina, the lowest count the city?s seen since mid-November...

REGINA -- The Saskatchewan government reported 173 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, along with 189 recoveries and 2 new deaths.

One person who died was in their 70s and from the Far Northeast zone. The second person was in the 80-plus age group and from the Northwest zone. There have been 524 COVID-related deaths in the province since the start of the pandemic.

The new cases are in the Far Northwest (four); Far Northeast (two); Northwest (24); North Central (13); Northeast (one); Saskatoon (34); Central West (six); Central East (25); Regina (30); Southwest (three); South Central (six); and South East (18) zones. There are seven new cases pending residence information.

There are 132 people in hospital across the province, 25 of those people are receiving intensive care. COVID-19 patients are in the ICU in the North Central (two), Saskatoon (nine) and Regina (14) zones.

REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 180 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths on Saturday.

Both deaths occurred in the South Central zone, including one person in their 50s and another in the 80-plus age range.

Saskatchewan has 1,770 cases considered active, following 184 new recoveries...

... Four new cases are pending residence information.

There are 120 people in hospital related to COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, including 27 people in intensive care.

VARIANTS OF CONCERN

The province reported 148 newly detected variants of concern (VOC) on Saturday, bringing the total number of VOCs to 9,950.

REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 116 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday and one death.

The latest resident to die of COVID-19 was a person over the age of 80 in the Southeast zone.

There are 1,662 active cases in the province and 222 additional recoveries.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 152, or 12.4 new cases per 100,000 people.

The person who died was in their 40s and from the Saskatoon zone.

The new cases are located in the Far Northwest (one), Far North Central (two), Northwest (16), North Central (eight), Northeast (two), Saskatoon (51), Central West (two), Central East (one), Regina (32), Southwest (five), South Central (11) and Southeast (six). Four cases are pending location information.

There are 133 people in hospital. Twenty-seven of those people are in the ICU in the Northwest (two), North Central (three), Saskatoon (11), Central East (one) and Regina (10) zones.

REGINA -- Saskatchewan confirmed 118 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Thursday.

According to the province, the deaths include one person in their 60s, two people in their 70s and two people in the 80-plus age range, all from Saskatoon. The sixth death was a person in their 70s from the North West zone.

There are currently 1,382 cases considered active, following 216 newly reported recoveries.

As of Thursday, 127 people are in hospital in the province related to COVID-19, including 27 in intensive care.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (two), Far North East (three), North West (eight), North Central (19), North East (two), Saskatoon (33), Central East (six), Regina (23), South Central (two), and South East (14) zones.

Saskatchewan surpassed a vaccination milestone on Saturday, while reporting another death of a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

The person who died was in their 50s and from the Regina zone, Saturday's daily provincial update said. The province has now reported 537 deaths since the pandemic started.

The province also reported 179 new cases of the illness caused by the novel coronavirus.

With 12,923 doses added to its total since Friday's update, the province said as of Saturday, 706,548 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the province.

The province says 77 per cent of those 40 and older have now had a first dose of a vaccine. The rate is 71 per cent for those 30 and up, and 65 per cent for those 18 and older.

REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported one COVID-19-related death on Sunday and 171 new cases. The most recent death was a person over the age of 80, in the southeast zone.

There are 1,430 active cases in Saskatchewan. The province reported 148 more recoveries. The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 137, or 11.1 per 100,000 residents.

There are 109 Saskatchewan residents in hospital with COVID-19, including 25 in intensive care.

New cases are located in the Far Northwest (seven), Far Northeast (two), Northwest (12), North Central (17), Northeast (three), Saskatoon (70), Central West (three), Central East (six), Regina, (19), Southwest (four), South Central (10) and Southeast (17). One new case is pending location details.

One COVID-19-related death was reported in Saskatchewan on Monday, bringing the province’s total up to 539 since the pandemic began.

The recently deceased was in the 80-plus age group from the Saskatoon zone, according to the Saskatchewan government.

Health officials said on Monday there were 113 new cases, bringing the overall infection total in Saskatchewan to 46,748. The Saskatoon and Regina zones led the province with 24 new infections each.

The seven-day average of new daily infections is up to 138 from 137 on May 30.

According to the provincial government, 109 new variants of concern (VOC) cases have been identified in Saskatchewan while the total (10,732) reported as follows: far north west (243), far north east (46), north west (607), north central (471), north east (58), Saskatoon (1,695), central west (109), central east (594), Regina (4,646), south west (373), south central (750) and south east (1,074) zones. The residences of 66 VOC cases are pending...

REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 86 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday – the lowest single day rise in cases since February 24.

A person in their 70s from the Central East zone died due to COVID-19.

The province said there are 1,272 cases currently considered active, following 181 newly reported recoveries...

... As of Tuesday, 108 people are in hospital related to COVID-19, including 23 in intensive care.

One COVID-19-related death was reported in Saskatchewan on Wednesday, bringing the province’s total up to 541 since the pandemic began.

The recently deceased was in their 70s and from the north west zone, according to the Saskatchewan government.

Health officials said on Wednesday there were 130 new cases, bringing the overall infection total in Saskatchewan to 46,964. The Saskatoon zone led the province with 46 new infections.

The seven-day average of new daily infections is down to 131 from 134 on Tuesday.

According to the provincial government, 38 new variants of concern (VOC) cases have been identified in Saskatchewan while the total is reported at 10,812.

The province’s hospitals are currently providing care for 103 patients with COVID-19: 81 are receiving inpatient care and 22 are in intensive care...

The province announced Saturday that three more Saskatchewan residents have died as a result of COVID-19, pushing the province's total death count as a result of the pandemic to 546.

The deaths reported Saturday were a person in their 60s in the Saskatoon zone and two people in the 80-plus age group in the northwest zone, according to the province's daily COVID-19 update.

There were also 99 new cases of the illness reported in Saskatchewan on Saturday. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the province is now at 47,285, of which 1,241 are considered active. There have been 45,498 recoveries...

EGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 90 new COVID-19 cases, two deaths and 177 recoveries on Tuesday.

The two deaths were people in the 80-plus age group from the North Central and North West zones.

Saskatchewan Health Minister Paul Merriman and Dr. Saqib Shahab, the province’s Chief Medical Health Officer will provide a COVID-19 update on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.

The province said 1,053 cases are currently considered active.

As of Tuesday, 104 people are in hospital related to COVID-19, including 18 people in intensive care.

COVID-19: Active cases in Saskatchewan drop below 1,000

Active COVID-19 cases dropped below 1,000 for the first time this year in Saskatchewan.

The province said Wednesday that 938 cases are considered active, the lowest number of active cases in Saskatchewan since Nov. 7, 2020.

The drop comes after Saskatchewan reported its lowest daily number of new COVID-19 cases in nearly four months.

Health officials reported 57 new cases on Wednesday, the second-lowest total in 2021 since 56 were reported on Feb. 24. Most of the new cases were reported in Saskatoon (21) and Regina (12).

It brings total cases in Saskatchewan to 47,574 since the start of the pandemic.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number fell to 87 — 7.1 per 100,000 — continuing its downward trend. The average is at its lowest point since Nov. 7, 2020, when the seven-day average was 85...
