Santa Cruz has first confirmed case of H1N1

A resident of Arroio do Tigre and a santa-cruzense, both with more than 50
years, were the first cases of influenza caused by the H1N1 virus in the
region in 2012. One of the patients remained only two days in the Hospital
Santa Cruz (HSC), while the other follows hospitalized in ICU. The two
were received in late receipts last Friday,

HSC received a patient transferred from Arroio do Tigre with severe acute respiratory
syndrome. The severity of symptoms, was immediately hospitalized in ICU, where
is still under treatment. Already on day 21, the hospital received a santa-
cruzense. As the symptoms presented themselves with minor
, he was already released on day 23.
