Excerpts:
On Monday, Mayor Ron Nirenberg reported 650 new cases of COVID-19 in the San Antonio area. The increase brings the total to 10,797. There have been no new deaths, and the total stands at 109.
...There have been 881 hospitalizations, up 137 from yesterday. There are 274 patients in intensive care (+14) and 154 on ventilators (+43). According to Nirenberg, half the people hospitalized because of COVID-19 have no underlying conditions.
...
The doubling time of the virus has decreased from 13 days to 11 days since last week, which is far below the city’s warning threshold of 18 days. This means currently, it will take 11 days from the number of COVID-19 cases to double.
