S. Paulo: Flu A kills more than in 2011 in the Country

In only six months, the State and the country already have more deaths provoked by the flu A, caused by the virus H1N1, of which in the whole last year.

Sao Paulo already had 53 cases registered in this year, with 11 deaths. In the country, they are 449 confirmations and 51 deaths, in accordance with data up to this month.



In 2011, they were 26 cases and four deaths in the State. In the country, the deaths were 27 - the Ministry of Health did not inform the number of cases.



The data of this year are far from the numbers of the pandemia of 2009, when 578 persons died, but, according to specialists, attention is necessary to the situation, since the winter begins hardly. In last year, all the deaths took place in the second semester.



The national campaign of vaccination against the flu finished in the beginning of the month, but some cities of the State have stock of vaccines because of not having reached the mark proposed by the General office of the Health.

General office registers 14 deaths for flu H1N1 in SP in this year


The General office of State of the Health of Sao Paulo already registered 14 deaths caused by the flu H1N1 in this year up to this Friday (29). During the period, the general office was notified of 66 cases of Respiratory Sharp Serious Syndrome, picture more worrying of the flu. In 2009, during the period of pandemia of the disease, the state registered around 600 deaths.
