Until December 31, 2022, a number of restrictions on exports from the country will be introduced in Russia. We are talking about feed amino acids, rice and rice groats. The documents have already been signed by the government. This is reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.

It is noted that it will be temporarily impossible to export from the country, in particular, L-lysine sulfate, L-lysine monohydrochloride and DL-methionine. These amino acids are added to the diet of farm animals for the sake of a complete diet.

“The decision will prevent a possible shortage in the domestic market,” the department says .

The amino acid export ban does not apply to all countries. They can be delivered to the countries of the EAEU, LPR and DPR, as well as Abkhazia and South Ossetia. An exception may also be made for the provision of international humanitarian assistance.

Restrictions on the export of rice and rice groats will not affect the countries of the EAEU, as well as those where intergovernmental agreements have already been reached.
The department also notes that amino acids will help maintain a positive trend in animal husbandry. As for rice and cereals, a temporary ban on exports will help stabilize prices, load processing enterprises and eliminate shortages.
