February 24, 2020, Monday, 03:54 [h=1]“Coronavirus proved that we can be proud of Russian medicine”[/h] 0
The Chinese virus epidemic has proven that Russians can be proud of their own medicine. When the vaunted physicians of Italy and Japan cannot stop the spread of the disease in their own tiny territory, doctors and officials of huge Russia put a barrier to the coronavirus.

According to the Meister Telegram channel , the number of patients with Chinese coronavirus in Italy exceeded 100 people. In Russia, only isolated cases are recorded. Moreover, our Chinese doctors have already cured two Chinese, three Russians with coronavirus were immediately brought home from the Diamond Princess liner located in the port of Japanese Yokohama. Now the disease is mild, doctors are sure that in the near future patients will completely get rid of the disease.

However, according to recent data, the number of cases has risen sharply in Italy. The virus was detected in 132 people, two of them died, more than 50 were hospitalized, 26 are in intensive care units. All cases of infection have been reported in northern Italy, where two major events are currently taking place - Milan Fashion Week and the Venice Carnival.
“We endlessly scold our medicine and there are reasons for this, but we must pay tribute that in this case, both the doctors and officials worked quickly, and the measures taken show their effectiveness. This is especially noticeable against the background of the situation with the Diamond Princess airliner: Japanese medical services were not able to provide normal isolation of passengers and as a result, several dozen new cases were detected every day, and then everyone who did not show symptoms was sent home. We hope that further the situation will remain under control, and our medical services will continue to stand in defense of the fatherland, ”the channel’s authors note.
Russian services were able to demonstrate coherence and efficiency last week, when on February 21, a Chinese citizen was removed from the Kiev - Moscow train in Suzemka, Bryansk Region. She had a high fever, doctors decided to examine her for infection with coronavirus. The Chinese woman was transported by ambulance to the infectious diseases hospital in Bryansk. There she was housed in a separate isolated ward. The car in which she was traveling was disconnected, all of its passengers were sent to quarantine. According to the results of studies, it turned out that the Chinese woman is not infected with coronavirus. Together with a Chinese citizen, 22 passengers and two conductors were in the car. After medical procedures, it was confirmed that these people are healthy - they were released home.

Earlier, Bryansk News reported that Chinese scientists made an important statement about the source of the coronavirus epidemic. As it turned out, the disease did not originate at all from the seafood market in Wuhan. At present, Chinese scientists from the Academy of Sciences, South China Agricultural University and the Beijing Center for the Study of the Brain, having analyzed the genomic data of 93 samples of the new coronavirus from 12 countries and four continents collected by mid-February, have come to unexpected conclusions.

It turned out that in patients directly related to the seafood market in Wuhan, haplotypes H1 and its derivatives H2, H8-H12 were revealed. Soon, a new, separate haplotype, H3, was found, which has nothing to do with the market. It turned out that this haplotype is not the original progenitor of coronavirus: it descended from the haplotypes H13 and H38. In turn, H13 and H38 are closely correlated with the coronavirus RaTG13 detected in bats. And carriers of RaTG13, which is the progenitor of the H13 and H38 viruses, were detected in two patients in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, bordering Hong Kong, and ... in Washington. All these people were in Wuhan in January, but did not visit the seafood market. Now these haplotypes are not found in Wuhan.

The market is not the original infection, scientists said. In their opinion, a new type of coronavirus entered the Huanan market from the outside, quickly spreading to the market itself and beyond.
