On the base of the state scientific center of virology and biotechnology (GNTS WB) "Vector" appeared scientific-medical center on refrens-diagnostics and study of the highly pathogenic strains of the virus of influenza. As on 28 May to correspondent IA regnum reported general director Ilya Drozdov, center was created according to the order of Rospotrebnadzora of 10 May, 2007.
According to Ilya Drozdov, during April 2007 "Vector" visited the appraisal group of the World Health Organization (WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION), into composition of which entered the representatives of headquarters and European bureau OF WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, and also representatives of two of four the one collaborating was center WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION. On 22 May the readiness OF WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION to contribute to the acceleration of creation on the base of the "Vector" of the collaborating center OF WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION was confirmed officially.
"Now 'Vector' works at the plan, but in order to obtain status of the collaborating center OF WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION it is necessary to pass demonstration functioning with period in two years", said Kerolayn Brown, the colleague of regional European bureau OF WHO - WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, technical specialist in the supervision after the infectious diseases.
