Apparently midges with Schmallenberg virus not allowed to enter Poland

Looking at the map provided by the German FLI, farms with the Schmallenberg virus are found near the borders of Denmark and Poland.

Danish vets confirmed the presence of SBV in midges in Denmark.

From Poland no reports on SBV.

Today we learn Russia will make an exception for Poland, regarding the importban of livestock incl. pigs.

Apparently midges with Schmallenberg virus were not allowed to enter Poland.

Experts agree: importbans or transportbans related to SBV are unjustified, have no scientific basis.
