H1N1 meeting set for 1 p.m. tomorrow at MCC

September 1, 2009

Health, education and emergency management officials will hold a town hall meeting tomorrow to talk about the state?s plans for responding to the expected return of novel H1N1 flu.


Richard F. Daines, M.D., commissioner of the state health department; Jean Stevens, associate commissioner for Instructional Support and Development at the education department and John Gibb, director of the Emergency Management Office will brief officials and the public.

The forum is at 1 p.m. in Building 8, Room 300 at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Road, Brighton. Parking is in Lot J. The time was incorrect in today's newspaper.

The meeting is one of five being held across the state this week.

I didn't even go to this. I did not feel it would give me any new info that I did not already know. A friend of mine who did go though filled me in on it. They had said what I had suspected. Just follow the standard precautions.....Cover you cough etc. That they expect it too ramp up in the next few weeks. Vaccine in mid october. Nothing new.
